I’m here trying to find good BCAA products and to see what ppl say in the comments all of sudden everyone is a health expert lol
Intelligent brother well said
Aminos and protein powder have been around for years
Paid to promote this stuff. Completely unnecessary.
Question..i understand BCAA is in whey protein powder...but,i read the reason you should take a sepeate BCAA powder before hand,is because when whey protein an the BCAA that is already included in the powder are consumed it takes longer for the body to break them down together..So,it was said that by taking BCAA powder first,it helps absorb faster the whey powders protein as its taken afterwards..any thoughts?
Idk why people are so misinformed about BCAA
You can buy BCAA and throw it away and keep the outer packaging for keeping kitchen supplies and still be more useful than the actual supplement
Bunch of haters in the comments fueled by other content creators who hate on supplements.BCAAs are not for the average Joe who has no goals plain and simple. They do work but are only worth it if you are serious about training.
This is why we need a dislike button
Is this a joke? The evidence does not support the use of BCAAs and there is actually a potential downside to taking them. Use EAAS!
bruh bs this so just a scam
Ok! buff Neil degrasse Tyson
This is shit, disliked it
A basic complete whey protein is more efficient than BCAAs in isolation. BCAAs just don't have the other substrates required from the other EAAs, at least in a fasted state.
The only time someone would significantly benefit from BCAA's is if their diet lacks those amino acids eg. plant based diets tend to get less leucine when eating whole foods etc; HOWEVER, there are recently released meta-analyses indicating significant attenuation of DOMS from BCAA supplemenation. Thus, there are recovery benefits. Saying it is outright a waste of money is just... factually incorrect. Depending on the context, it could be beneficial especially in the case where DOMS has a significant impact on training.
It seems that BCAAs could help to reduce DOMS slightly in comparison to the nitrogen gained from regular EAA-containing proteins, but the studies aren't conclusive; however, as the BCAAs are known to improve recovery as long as the required substrates are available, there should be a slight benefit to it. Does that mean BCAA supplemention is better than just regular whey protein in terms of recovery? Maybe, maybe not. We need more research to conclude.
Without having all the studies at hand in order to support what I'm stating, just consider the following: Try supplementing BCAAs if you don't mind spending extra money to reduce DOMS IF it's an issue. Elite athletes could benefit from supplementing BCAAS and test how it affects DOMS (if it's worth it). If DOMS doesn't bother or hinder your training, then BCAAs are definitely a waste of money. In general, whey protein seems to do the job.
Bcaa is shit
L
Waste of money!
What a ripoff
Correction : there are 9 amino acids that our body can’t make aka Essential amino acids, 3 out of 9 are essential for building muscle. I drink bcaa as an intra workout just to drink more water. Real foods are the ones going to build muscle, not bcaa and protein shakes
I am so thankful that Youtube got rid of all their dislikes. Now I can even more easily fall into scams like this!
