You have given me much to think about. I don’t even know how I found this video but it touched on an uneasiness I have felt. I am functionally deaf and so “hear”/“understand” NOTHING at Mass anymore, yet it is still very distracting. I’m going to try to find a Latin Mass. Thank you.
Robert! Amazing. Do you have anything book good recommendations?
A thought occurred to me as I listened to this video which seemed aligned to your comments. The Novus Ordo seems designed to take us to the Last Supper, Holy Thursday, as the meal and the institution of the Eucharist. That is good, although it does not end there. The TLM, on the other hand, is designed to take us beyond, to Calvary, as you were expressing.
"The Latin Mass is authentic, beautiful, silent, sacred, and an adoration at the Calvary."
"Many thanks for your message. God bless. ✝️❤️🙏🏻
Silence = Awe. Its the silence of Christ in the agony in the garden.
you are not alone ! if only i could find a Mass of the ages ' near myself . so true , i find it so so dificult to pray at mass when every dfullstop the organ and guitar starts again . I feel like waking out .
The NO has robbed us of the environment necessary to exercise our inner vision which allows us to see Christ Truly Present.
Ya know, "meditation" was not introduced to Christians until it was first written in KJB? Meditation is a dragon thing- from China.
In short, Christians do not "meditate".
Beautiful painting in thumbnail image for video! Who is the painter? Please put it into the description below the video. Thanks.
I read the book by Cardinal Sarah several years ago and loved it. Silence is beautiful! What is the title of the book you are reading from? I would like to find a copy.
On the one hand, yes it could be said it doesn't matter which Mass you go to, so long as the condition of your heart is good. On the other hand, it's usually when I at least attempt silence that whatever distractions I pushed to the back of my mind or suppressed come roaring back to the front of my mind. Without that silence, I'd just go along my merry way thinking everything is fine. Mass + Silence = opportunity to give up my distractions/issues up to Jesus. At least, that's my take on it. RCIA Catholic/revert, here.
Please please remember me in your prayers when you go . Safe Travels
There’s a very good booklet to buy for a few euro. It’s very helpful for us beginners. called. LATIN - English Booklet Missal FOR PRAYING THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS. Viva Cristo Rey
Thank you for sharing. We need to hear of Christ's encounter with us to transform our lives. God bless you abundantly.
The mass is about Christ not about us.
Archbishop Lefevbre - Santo Subito
The reverence of silence is almost absent in Novus Ordo masses. Actually, reverence generally is missing in Novus Ordo masses and churches. Sometimes I have actually had to look around to make sure that I was in a Catholic church.
Not a word wrong here, Robert. Cardinal Sarah's book 'The Power of Silence' is excellent too, one of my favourite books
