On a very special episode of TCM Slumberground, we are in studio to talk with Millie De Chirico & Quatoyiah Murry, the authors of the new TCM book, 'TCM Underground: 50 Must-See Films from the World of Classic Cult and Late-Night Cinema.' Along with Slumberground regulars Matthew Ownby and Benjamin Cheaves, the quartet discusses the 1971 horror film 'Let's Scare Jessica to Death.' Cannot wait for more!
Love TCM Underground!! Definitely some of the best films on TCM
The title, you never forget, or the swimming
I predict this movie will be remade in the near future. Had they given it a different title and ended on a more ambiguous note, this film could have been in the same league as The Shining. The swimming scene is among the best I've ever seen in horror. And the two actresses were excellent.
As a Jessica the film is very intimidating. Is it specially frightening to Jessica's? Will it kill us on sight? I fear for my health.
