What is the common end that all humans have been created for? How do different religions try to solve the riddles of existence? Why is it necessary that there be a divine revelation in order to understand God’s purposes? In this lecture, we will discuss our common humanity—what all people share, whether Catholic or not—and how salvation history has always been about uniting mankind with God and with one another. Dr. DeClue, thank you for mentioning the work of Thomas Pink who did an excellent job of addressing the roles and responsibilities of the Church and State, especially regarding religious coercion. Those interested in the details of how the Council document purposefully focused on that of the State should read his 2012 published article on the First Things website.
Now I have to watch this again to digest it.
Thank you for doing these lectures!
Most appreciative of this time intensive work. May God continue to bless you and your family always.
Incredible. Thank you, Word On Fire. It's integrity like this that makes the Reason shine so brilliantly with the Faith.
A very good presentation. Lots of information to digest. However it is a good overview of the documents and a wonderful starting point into how we begin to apply these documents to our life with Christ.
