I was meaning to do a recomp but I ended up bulking all week so I think I need to do a small cut and then actually bulk properly from now on.

I’m about 15lbs from my goal weight and I’ve been stuck for over a year. Would it be ok to bulk even though I have fat to lose? I’d like to build more muscle but always too concerned about the fat gain. I’m hoping a bulk will help reset my metabolism.

i cant afford a gym membership i cant even do a pushup im trying to do one a day one proper pushup im not sure if bulking will help me

I wanna turn my fat into muscle. And what I mean is that I wanna stay my same weight with relatively the same figure but I want to feel more comfortable in the clothes I wear and feel healthier and stronger. The problem is that I'm lazy. I'll start a workout routine and then I won't do anything for a week afterwards 😭

I'm coming at this as a total beginner. What if I'm starting this process already with 10-15 lbs of fat I'd like to cut? Should I start with a deficit to get to a place I'm comfortable with, and then go to an intentional bulking surplus with increased strength training for muscle growth? Or do I just go in for the bulk as I am now, and then deal later with having even more fat to cut? I'm not sure I have the confidence for that 😵‍💫

I've been trying to do a very small bulk, but I've been shocked by the process. those online calculators are surprisingly inaccurate for me. Many suggested that for me to gain ~0.5lb a week, I should be around 1850. I ate at that, and was actually losing weight. The fuck? So I've slowly up'd it, and now I'm at 2100, and apparently that's my maintenance, in spite of how little activity I do in a day (sedentary aside from 30min workouts 3-4x a week). And it's actually been pretty difficult for me to eat enough to hit that with healthier food. I wanted to go keto, but it kept me too full which made it way too hard to hit my daily cals (let alone a surplus), so i had to increase the amount of carbs I was eating and i added in an extra 24-36oz of milk; apparently still not enough to gain. Shit! I knew my appetite was fucked up but this is ridiculous.

Over the years, my weight stayed near the same, but I'd eat fast food, snack on lots of chips, as well as have random periods where I ate very little (maybe one small meal and a snack, or outright not eating for a day or two). Logging my calories has been really eye opening. no wonder i'd randomly binge on a whole bag of chips or lots of sugary drinks! i had no idea how far under maintenance I was eating on my no-appetite days and my body was trying to compensate the easiest way it could! not good!

gotta try to figure out how to add another 200 calories a day. which might sound nice to some people but it's not so nice when you're already force-feeding yourself. i really don't want to use processed food to hit that either (like a daily portion of icecream or chips, i'm already eating at the max carb for me to feel ok, if anything it's too high...), so i gotta keep experimenting. i think i just need to get used to it. slowly increase portion sizes, staying consistent etc.

bulking is a lot harder than i thought it would be. compared to when i worked to lose weight, this is honestly harder. very weird.

I have trained really, really hard over the last 2 years, and while I definitely have seen results, recently I haven't progressed (as in, gained visible muscle and being able lift heavier) for a really long time. I just thought, "well I haven't gained weight either, probably I am not working out wrong, but I just simply can't lift anything heavier with that amount of muscle..." So, I googled "how to bulk for women" and found this and am now really getting interested in your channel. I think you give the most valuable advice for the mental part of the journey of getting fit, changing your look or bodybuilding... And that is the most important part, I think.

I lost 15lbs im 4”11 I am 35 i have been working out. I lost all my Boobs 😩.. Im really Sad because my boobs are so saggy they look like dried up Mangoes with all kinds of stretch Marks. I was not obese but my body is so saggy like if i was and lost weight. I have No money for Implants and even if i did id be to scared to end up with implants syndrome. I hate how women struggle so much with body issues and Living with body shame. I wish people would be Nicer to each other instead of bringing them down they would help each other.
