This text presents a summary of the characteristics of the tractor, technical data of the engine, care to be taken and its purpose. ► See the full tractor rewiel in this video: 🤍🤍youtube.com/watch?v=GhGzUOQyNsM It is a product with a decorative purpose, adding an external combustion heat engine, giving life to the miniature. Below are caveats regarding its limitations. ► The following video explains the operation of this type of engine ("fire-eater" engine): 🤍youtu.be/FvhVEtAPK5o ► Cautions: - should only be handled by adults; - it is recommended to use powdered graphite for piston lubrication, as shown in the video; - the use of lubricating oil on the piston is not recommended, as it generates friction and operating problems; - in case of rest for a period longer than 7 days, apply a desegripping spray to avoid oxidation of the cylinder; if there is oxidation, it may be necessary to disassemble the motor, as shown in the video; - be careful to avoid burns; the entire hood of the tractor is extremely hot, as warned in the video; - the engine works with a 92.8° INPM alcohol lamp or butane gas; only the lamp comes with the product. ► Positive points: - nice for those who like retro design (20th century tractor); - the sound produced by the engine is charming; - the piston does not lock inside the cylinder even when very hot; - has a differential transmission for rear-wheel drive and steering box; ► Negative points: - low torque at low rpm; - instability in the flame when exposed to the wind, impairing the operation of the engine; recommended to work on a flat surface without obstacles; - a large part of the tractor is assembled by hand, justifying its value; - the steering box has play; ► Technical data: - piston stroke: 22 mm - piston outside diameter: 12 mm - lag between the piston and the valve: 30° - cylinder material: steel - piston material: hardened steel - using alcohol, the engine reaches 1500 rpm; with butane gas 2400 rpm; both measurements in free rotation. ► Why is it NOT considered a Stirling engine? - Despite being an external combustion engine, it works in an open cycle, that is, the cylinder sucks in the fire; different from Stirling which operates in a closed cycle. ► How does a fire-eating engine work? (also known as "Flammenfresser", "engine vacuum" or vacuum motor): At the moment of opening the valve, the piston is moving towards the crankshaft shaft, so that the fire is drawn into the cylinder. Then the valve is closed, generating a vacuum by cooling the hot gases inside the cylinder. With this vacuum, the piston is pulled towards the valve. When the piston approaches the valve, the vacuum effect ends, and the combustion gases are expelled. The valve vane is movable so that the gases can escape. Then the cycle is restarted. The torque of this engine is low, lower than a Stirling engine. However, it has good speed and a charming sound. ► Conclusion: The tractor has a nice design, works well with powdered graphite for cylinder lubrication and no wind. I inform you again that it is a decorative object, it works with the restrictions reported, I do not recommend that it be tested on steep slopes due to the low torque of the engine. The differential is relatively fragile, with possible breakage if subjected to exaggeration. Thank you all for the attention. I recommend the website of "Enginediy", a serious and reliable company. Hello
Ó que bom se o Brasil inventasse um Trator movido a Álcool seria revolucionário.
