The PFC Band is back on the road and ready to rock Brazil! To kick things off we want to bring a little love from Brazil straight to you. The song "Mas, que Nada" was composed by Jorge Ben and made popular by Sérgio Mendes but has been covered by many other artists including Dizzy Gillespie and Ella Fitzgerald; and now we're happy to share our friends performing the song live during a jam session in São Paolo. Turn it up and dance, sing, or do whatever it is that sets your soul on fire. Featured musicians: Graziela Teixeira - viola Denis Celestino Lisboa - Bongos Guga Machado - Pandeiro (tambourine) Camila Silva - cavaquinho Amauri Luis da Silva - acoustic guitar Lorena Galati - singer Fagner Karú - guitar JOIN THE MOVEMENT Subscribe to our newsletter: 🤍bit.ly/1x9CAfJ Join us as a Youtube Sponsor here: 🤍🤍youtube.com/channel/UCn25nZ12HEZq_w_m_1DmbbA/sponsor GET SOCIAL 🤍🤍facebook.com/PlayingForChange 🤍twitter.com/playing4change 🤍instagram.com/playing4change OUR PARTNER: Audio-Technica—Audio pioneer in high-performance sound design Established in 1962, Audio-Technica is a worldwide group of companies devoted to the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of problem-solving audio equipment. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band—a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation—a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet. To learn more about the work of the PFC Foundation, visit 🤍🤍playingforchange.org
canadian planning on emigrating to brazil for university/possibly more permanent residence. i am very afraid of the language barrier (among other things) since i am young and inexperienced with independence in life. however, listening to samba gives me much confidence in the beauty of this country and its people, and motivates me to adapt to these obstacles, no matter how difficult they are. if you are brazilian reading this message, i would love more info on your amazing way of life.
