Marilyn was such a sweetheart that director was an asshole
In this and so many other comments sections from so many other videos: it’s sweet how people speak of her, but there’s also a tendency to read too much into small things (I’ve noticed this is something a lot of people do in general, regarding other topics, so it’s not isolated to MM, but it is done excessively with her). Folks see what they want to see. Years and years of every little piece of her being over-analyzed… and she had a tendency, it seems, to over-analyze herself, which caused some of her mental turmoil. So while it’s nice that there’s so much praise for her, much of it, when one takes a step back to look at it objectively, gives a sense of idolization. In her lifetime, she craved love and acceptance, but also sincerity. She strove for sincerity in her acting (which is why she was drawn to Stanislavsky’s “method”) and eschewed phoniness in her personal life. So although we should all “keep a good thought” for her, the best way to honor her may be to remember her as an imperfect human who’s greatest strength was the love in her heart and desire to show empathy and compassion to others (I say this as someone who has done a lot of research on her life). I think she would have wanted us to honor her by being thoughtful, caring, sincere, and focusing more on uplifting others and less on idolizing her and other celebrities. That’s just my opinion.
Really cool footage though; fun to see the process that would’ve produced the film, if fate hadn’t had other plans for Marilyn.

She was really, really hitting her acting stride in this movie. So sad she passed before finishing.
Unrelated note- can anybody else see that her right eye doesn’t always track with the left?
She was going through alot during this time in her life and it showed when she went to work. I mean, you can tell. Shortly before he death, it truly sad to think about all the foul play that went on with her death as well.
