Rare/Raw Marilyn outtake footage with original audio from the unfinished movie "Something's got To Give in 1962. Marilyn trying a swedish accent. Most not seen in documentaries etc.
How lucky I am, my name is Charisse 😭✨
I can’t believe what an ahole this director is. He has no respect for Marilyn at all...and on top of that she nailed it the first time!
Cukor was an absolute dick. Making Marilyn relentlessly do take after take when she nailed it the first time.
She wore this outfit to a public appearance after this shoot. She didn’t change because she didn’t have time.
"...Whittier in K.C. In case you change your mind."
Is a movie line, that would have been delivered to
Marilyn Monroe, had she survived SGTG. Joanne Woodward played Lila, instead, singing SGTG while entertaining an all belligerent male crowd. A drinking crowd across from the Hotel Whittier.
Half century ago my stage-fright turns-stage-voice, as a player in the school play. Developing my 9th grade memory on a play's script. And, functioning it, memorized -script on the Sonora High Raider's stage.
Not yet ten years since the mysterious death of Marilyn Monroe.
Sonora High stage is taken by my role as:
Pinski Dollar Villain
This take was filmed May 24th, 1962. Hard to believe Marilyn would be found dead a little over two months later.
Darn it Cukor is such a SOB! Always shouting!
It wasn’t always Marilyn who wanted to do more takes. Here it is the director
« Yes, my day off madam » absolutely lovely 🥰❤️
I think Marilyn was definitely at the height of her beauty at this time too.
This would have been a wonderful movie.
Cyd Charisse was so beautiful. Gorgeous on the dance floor! I would rate her the best!! Even over Rita Hayworth and Ginger Rogers!
Why did they have to repeat it so many times, no wonder Marilyn didn't show up, this is abuse
8VQMgEzhddU&t=2m28s 2:28 you can tell the cy charisse what trying so hard to keep from laughing
I would hate doing that all day it would be my day off and I would keep going
A lot of takes just to get a few seconds of usable film. Yet Marilyn never complained, she would not mind repeating it ad infinitum. It was very important to her to give a top performance.
Cyd Charisse is simply striking! wow!
