I know I always struggled with my weights esp. regarding my lower thighs; I’d often find myself kinda cursing how I looked in those pictures.

I did pick up Yoga, besides Quigong and other religious practices and I do believe these have benefits other than what’s discussed here from holistic perspective. ‘Cause fyi I had to keep rewinding just to follow what she’s saying here, simply b/c I’m not used to thinking (or *keeping up) that way.

It's not just that cutting calories (and protein) too low that sabotages just results, but it can predispose you to tendinosis and other repair-related problems.
Keeping protein up high enough and getting enough sleep (!) become critical to avoiding cumulative-type injuries when cutting back calories severely. I've found that fighting back against that cumulative "injury trajectory" is also helped by using super-slow, and also pre-exhaustion methods; and particularly concentration on the eccentric contraction to augment more effective, correct muscle repair. And like you said about paying attention to "how you feel" ... it's both an art and a science.

Thanks, I needed this reminder. I am dealing with a herniated disc and it has sidelined me for a while and I let my nutrition go because I haven't been training like I am used to and it has led to a bit of depression.

Believe it or not, my stress fracture on the left foot 5 yrs ago was a real life changing : it forced me to STOP high impact cardio (obviously,  bc I had one month with a caster, + 2weeks where I was allowed only to walk, not jump) ; it led me to Pilates (no way I could stay 6wks without exercising) which then led me by "mistake" (I clicked on the wrong video) to power yoga, and I fell in love with it ! Last but not least, I was deep deep deep in a anorexia-overexercising cycle, and during the recovery period, I ate (a lot....) and of course couldn't exercise out my diet... So, little by little, I lost this bad habit to exercise "in order to compensate" .And now, I'm more careful in my trainings bc I don't want to be injured anymore, and I even take one rest day a wee + 1 deload week per month, which was unthinkable 5 yrs ago. So people, if you are injured, YES it s*cks, but you will learn so much about yourself, and come back stronger 💪

Thank you, just what I needed. The Friday after Thanksgiving I dislocated my Sternoclavicular Joint and have been so bummed about it that I hadn't done much this last week. I made a promise to myself today (3 hours before watching this) I was going to the gym and working out tomorrow, not sure what but I'm doing it. Thanks again as always just what I need to hear when I need to hear it.

This happened to me, i injured my ankle, didnt go to therapy and still have pain 3 years later, stopped going to the gym and gained a lot of weight. Im not motivated as i have to work 60hours a week to make ends meat, dont have energy and motivation to work out late at night, i just want to sleep. I remember contacted you for one of your programs and couldnt afford it jaja, also went to a nutrition specialist and didnt work. Some of us need small objectives to start, i stilll havent find that small objective to motivate me to start. I tend to start and drop it after a week, as im tired from work.

No it is not. I had spinal surgery & still kept in shape. I was as firm don’t get me wrong & I had months off activity BUT kept my diet on point & did what I could physically

Cheese balls and chocolate syrup are the cure?! I can't wait to get injured! If I have time and energy to complain and dwell on a boo-boo then I must have time and energy to do something more positive. Even if that means going back to "Level Zero Panda" and doing what must be done to prevent the injury in the first place. My lower-back hurts when I do planks, so I'm shifting some of my efforts to side-planks to help my oblique abs participate more (they are the weakest part of my core). Mmmmm, ice cream with caramel topping ... No!, bad brain, bad brain; shame on you. Go sit in the corner. You know what you did. And in the middle of Sunday oatmeal time, too.

Yes, I've had severe low n middle back pain for 2 years plus. Affects from my shoulder blade to my leg. I added back the 16kg I lost. Pls what can I do to get bk without getting more injured?
