I survived the day with Trey Mitchell, one of the most successful strongman competitors in the world! We start with an amazing pre workout BBQ meal before an intense leg day full of HEAVY squats! He was 2018 America's Strongest Man and holds the title of Texas's Strongest Man for both 2021 and 2022! Hope you all enjoy the video! the Big Iron intro instantly catapulted me back to New Vegas haha
great video as per usual, Will!
My god who edits this videos!
There is a good reason heavy strength sports, from weightlifting to wrestling to boxing involves WEIGHT CLASSES for serious competition. For a big guy in such a sport, if he's in good condition, it confers a MASSIVE (no pun intended) advantage.
I was very good at the bench press. But at 120 pounds, I was NOT going to be competitive with a guy in shape who was over, say, 180 pounds, regardless, even though I could bench over twice my weight, which in my experience is rather rare, even forfit power lifters (who compete in events).
Big fan of Trey...but didn't know he was a fellow Texan resident. He just seems like a good dude.
Will’s not used to people messing with him more than he messes with them. Lol
These big fellas eat so much food, it has to taste amazing. How else could you cram that much down?
yall hate leg day meanwhile me a year ago training mostly legs could lift 200kg on chair and not 50kg on benchpress
I no longer lift with weights with the exception of shoulder and bicep, resistance bands hands down, with proper calisthenics can give you some serious gains, loving the channel brother
Power lifters and pro bodybuilders definitely are NOT the prime example of healthy living
the little shotput 🤣
I wonder, couldn't he retire from lifting and go straight into the nfl? given proper training and stuff but is he stronger than the average big guy in the league?
I want to do this with him too but only the eating part. dude this is nuts, he's so damn strong. he's like a human tank. I wonder if in medieval times they designated people to get this big.
excellent
I get major dad vibes from Trey lol
That's actually so sick literally and physically 🤕 😂
Texas vs Florida, that thumbnail proves it on the size.
I thought the title said you trained with America's strongest man, ? That's not Brian Shaw! Lol
Great video. Absolutely loved it.
Check out Shawn Baker. He's not the strongest man in the world, but he's in his 50s still packing on muscle eating a Carnivore diet. He's showing that you can be 0 carb and still be a monster in the gym.
Edit: Late 50s. He's 56 doing 20 405 deadlifts at a time, powered by ribeye.
