So by doing the transformer does that mean you don't need batteries anymore? I'm going to get a blink one but should be the same
Is the chime alert the only problem with an underpowered transformer?
If you have a ring pro2 and a ring wired on different doors will they limit the output of the transformer?
Great video.
My problem is, my current doorbell chime doesn't have a transformer like yours does.
Would you know if there's a way to hardwire a Ring Chime?
I'm not a fan of having it plugged into an outlet.
Learned a lot from this video thanks.
Great video. Clear, concise and to the point.
I wonder if this my issue. Just got a brand new house that was closed on... watched it go from dirt to studs to being done. I installed the Ring doorbell pro 2 with no issues. The actual doorbell inside the house will not ring... I don't know what the problem is.
Transformers can also be located in the garage like mine is. 👍👍
Some are located in your attic
Great Video, just the information I needed.
Great job--very informative. For life of me, could not figure out where transformer was, but suspect it is behind like you indicated. Will check that out!
I think I need to do this. I had my Ring Doorbell Pro 2 professionally installed a year ago. About nine months later it stopped working. I called support twice which was a waste of time. My house is new and the current transformer is 16 volt. My Ring app indicated it was not getting power, so I came to the conclusion that I need the 24 volt transformer. This video should resolve my Ring doorbell issue. I hope!
Check with an electrician if a transformer inside a wall is permitted or a good idea. Just because someone put it there before doesn't mean it's a good idea, codes change over time.
We replaced the transformer for our Ring Pro 2 with the Ring transformer, after the old chime caught fire.
One month after install, our NEW chine caught fire. So it was all uninstalled and returned.
What could it have been? I haven’t had a working doorbell since.
Most doorbell transformers are located in the attic.
On the west coast. Most transformers are located inside a closet of a bedroom or coat closet and is usually located closest to the chime or doorbell that goes ding dong.. On really older homes. They installed it inside the attic which is a terrible place to find and service it.
The transformer on my door bell is in the crawlspace under my hardwood floors.
This is a awesome product and is a huge help to my father newest.technology/ Newest.Technology I really need one for myself this product is easy to use and install. The product is truly a great door bell.
Great video. Unfortunately my transformer isn’t behind my chime. If you connect the Ring and it powers up can you assume your transformer is sufficient?
Thank you found it behind the chime box. Unfortunately I will have to replace for a higher voltage
