I still remember how at 9 years old, watching the movie and seeing Charisse's beautiful leg up to Gene Kelly's face made me feel VEEERY funny down there, lol
Cyd Charisse was from here in Amarillo, Texas. We were very proud of her.
Hollywood in its glory days, had 2 'dancing queens', only! Eleanor Powell and Cyd Charisse! One must see the ''Bandwagon'', w Fred Astaire. THAT'S where to us understand what this vid was all about, lauding the talent of this super supreme dancer! The 'Dancing In The Dark' number is choreographed...perfectionately! The best ever! ❤ ❤ ❤
best legs ever, with nice asssets!!
Cyd Charisse was stunningly beautiful her legs and her whole persona in film was sublime .
That is Olivia de Havilland —not Debbie Reynolds
(a bait title)
"No one Ever stole the Show from Debbie Reynolds."
Is this a computer generated voice?
A good review of ms. Charisse's career.
Not sure that singling out an apparent rivalry with Ms. Reynolds does justice to it.
Debby wasn't a dancer. In Singing in the Rain Gene Kelly had to teach her how to dance and she never could do the more complicated dances that Cyd could do. Cyd already was Gene Kelly's equal.
She WAS fabulous....but steal it away from Reynolds....hmmmm dont think so....Debbie worked like a dog...and she was excellent..funny....energetic.....perfect.....
I forgot she was even in the movie 😂😂😂
The click bait is about signing in the rain….2 minutes in…..still waiting….👎🏻
They were both excellent. Don't believe she stole show from Debbie euther
I love the movie. Cyd Charisse is certainly memorable but she didn't come close to stealing the show from Reynolds.
Cyd was exotic, beautiful and had an air of the "slightly dangerous to know". Debbie Reynolds was very talented, but she could never shake the "girl next door" quality that Cyd could never have pulled off. They each had a very different place in film.
I don't mean to be rude but was Cyd even IN "singin in the rain"?
I can easily recall "lina lamont".(Jean Hagen) Who was brilliant. And Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor. I would think that you could have shown some clips to justify your claim.
Now I know that Cyd is a great dancer. But that is not what singin in the rain was really about. If anyone made it hard for Debbie it was working with the two wonderful gentlemen. Both of whom were very talented. Can you possibly have forgotten Gene's dance in the rain? Or his "ham" acting in "the laughing cavalier"? Your title here is misleading.
AYrIbSOClmE&t=10m52s 10:52 . OMG!
I loved her.
