I got a bone to pick with Mendi as a brand name given the product design
Holy shit they defined interoception so poorly. It’s an actual term, and not a 6th sense or anything; it’s literally just being able to tell what’s going on in your body. If you notice you’re hungry at the first hunger cue, or realize you have to piss the second your bladder is full, that’s good interoception. Many people with learning disabilities or neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism or adhd have poor interoception; they can’t accurately or easily process cues their body gives them. This can be linked to alexythmia, an inability to understand emotion.
I guarantee therapy and meds are cheaper and more effective than any of this garbage.
Drew is white
Imagine spending 400$ on a useless piece of plastic instead of using that money to get therapy
Yeah, those things are scams. There were so many red flags all over. Please dont ever buy anything like this. Its the same problem as dropshippers inflating prices on aliexpress items.
I could get a vibrating piece of plastic that is guaranteed to make me happy for like $20 on amazon
Kinda related to the video, but a small tip for people that have anxiety and panic attacks or live with someone who does.
My mom, girlfriend and I have anxiety, and when they have a episode I generally just start to deviate to help them out, like talking about how a song was written, some funny thing that happened last week, but always positive stuff. It works most of the times, my older bro used to do this when we were younger and I had my initials panic attacks.
Take care of your mental health guys, we all need some therapy!
"Why do schools teach a bunch of stuff I'm never going to use like how cells work and so on?"
buys a bunch of magic beans
This video is a force against anxiety! Had me laughing the whole time 🤣! LOVE YOU DREW ♥️!
caVoqAfdkYQ&t=9m46s 9:46 bad sign when an anti anxiety company doesn’t know what “fight or flight” mode is
Drew, there are two different colors fighting for the death on top of your head, and they are both losing.
As a person with an bad anxiety disorder my daily life is full of spontaneous panic attacks and anxious feelings and I take medication products like these would just make me more anxious because I’m not getting the results others are I feel like it should be illegal for companies to profit off of mental and physical health conditions. I simply think taking a minute to breath and calm down is simply the best result I’m not having an episode but that’s just me if you really need a product to help you with that that’s all you lol
I'm glad Drew is so open about talking about his anxiety and panic attacks. I have an anxiety disorder and when I have panic attacks it's hard to calm down.
I love my girlfriend so don’t need these devices
You should have put the brain thing on your arm, it probably would have still worked
If anyone here is stressed and considering these just try cigarettes
That’s.. that’s a crazy level of insanity. “I decided to try to focus and I actually started focussing!” 😂
interoception is actually a real thing! not a pseudoscience made up word it is the bodies ability to sense its needs like knowing when you're hungry when you're in pain when you need to pee etc i have no idea what it has to do with headphones tho it isn't something you can control its just how your brain functions some people (those with autism ADHD depression so on) struggle with it often
Fun fact, Oura is pronounced Aura. Yeah... it is dumb.
