Hi Rob, Your video is great if you want to replace your old fashioned doorbell. I have outdoor cameras that cover the front door, so a doorbell with a camera would be overkill for me. I have tried using DeepStack AI to give me alerts, but the response is too slow. I have to believe that pushing the existing doorbell button and having that signal relay to my phone or Echo devices would be much faster.
It would be great if you could do a video on how to retrofit an analog doorbell and make it smarter. Maybe using a Shelly relay? I'm willing to give up the ability to do a two way conversation (although the cameras can do this) with someone at the door for a simple relay that would send a message to my phone, and/or have my smart speaker announce "someone is at the door."
I already have zxtech onyx nvr from domar which has been a bit of a nightmare to even get working do you know if that would work with the 24/7 recording doorbell cameras ?
There’s no way anyone can recommend a eufy product after the massive back door security issues recently discovered about their products.
If this is news to you, highly suggest doing your own research. Plenty of articles and videos out there. So bad to the point Linustechtips dropped anker because of it (anker owns eufy).
tnx for the vid man
If you'r willing to install Home Bridge or Home Assistant on a spare computer or raspberry pi you should be able to integrate most of these into what eco system you have. Plus it's open source so if you're a software engineer or just like to tinker you could potentially add your own features or fix your own issues, or at least raise them in the community.
Nice job with the video! This definitely takes a ton of time and effort to put together. As an IT professional and integrator myself, this is very helpful to push customers to watch to help make a decision. Would be nice to add if these have the ability for hardwire connections (like the Unifi G4 Pro Doorbell and the Ring Pro 2 I believe)
Still waiting on the Reolink Wifi doorbell to be released. Can't wait!
Great review!
My priorities are, able to ring existing home chime, best vertical field of view, great app and cloud storage. I am not involved with any of those ecosystems. Which one should I get.
Eufy was great for the first week now it won't record anything... all i got now is a video doorbell.
Wow a lot of them have a subscription:(
Just a quick note about the Eufy camera. They have since disabled that long press sync button flaw.
Any plans to review the netatmo?
Lorex is a good pick for those who want to pair with a wired NVR closed system. Does not require subscriptions, records on the NVR and pairs effortlessly. It has been a very quality, stable system for me.
Stay away from Ring pro doorbell. It utilizes a trickle charge for battery even though it’s hard wired. In cold climates you will be removing battery every 2-3 weeks to charge.
great amount of effort and very informative in an orderly fashion
Why Eufy is not selling anymore Security System kits, are they going to replace them ? Thanks
so Ring Pro 2?
I was really leaking towards the Eufy dual cam model and watch the installation video on Amazon. The concerning part was the last 15 seconds of the clip showing just how easy it was for anyone to remove the doorbell with just a push pin device? 😳
