very helpful tips
I started off at about 430 pounds. I've lost about 230. Most of my weight loss happened with walking, but over the past six to nine months, I've worked on building muscle. I was down to 195 but gained about 10 pounds a few months into a weight-lifting routine. My workouts aren't long. They started at just 15 minutes and were 20 minutes for a long while. Now, 30 - 40 minutes, three times a week. I challenge myself to jog once a week, and walk every day. I get at least 45 minutes of exercise a day.
I have a lot of excess skin and really have no clue where my natural weight is without it. Nevertheless, I'm working on being my healthiest self, still trying to work my way back down and eventually get skin removal surgery. I find I always need tips and motivation so I can learn as much as possible to keep my body and mind healthy.
Thank you!
Working in foods you love I think is super important. I have high cholesterol because of a genetic disorder & I love eggs. One of the old things you always hear is that they raise your cholesterol. (Idk if I believe that, but that’s a different story…) Anyway, I love eggs & they are what get me excited to eat the other nutritious things in my breakfast & day. I was discouraged from having them for breakfast regularly, but I decided this was a hill I was dying on. Any other substitue would not satisfy & would just leave me wanting all day, setting me up on a path to make not so great choices for my eating in the rest of the day. I decided to have 2 every day, but just watch my saturated fat the rest of the time. I was able w diet tweaks and medication to drop my LDL cholesterol 135 points while still enjoying one of my favorite foods! It sounds crazy, but I highly chalk that up to genuinely loving everything I eat and it makes me happy to have my healthy meals. This just perpetuates further success with healthy habits.
I love your perspective! Makes sense! thanks

Love your channel! I turned 50 in Feb and I’m finally getting on the right track to better health. I’m already in good shape however I know that I can get stronger and increase my metabolism and macros so that I don’t feel like I’m starving myself. Always room for improvement 💪🏻 I live for dessert too! I’ve always loved my sweets. Donuts, homemade cookies, pastries…😂
What free macro app would you recommend ?
What about being over 50 years old; is there a difference in what you’re saying or does what your saying apply with all ages?
What tracking app are you using? Any good suggestions? I hate it, but it's always helped me.
